Who we are

Your hosts are Colin and Mary. Originally from the Southeast of England and California respectively, we have both lived in Germany for over 45 years. We love the Palatinate (die Pfalz).

We like meeting new people and socialising, and are always open for new adventures and experiences.

We bought this house in Niederkirchen in 2020 and spent seven months renovating it with ecologically sound materials. We created the vacation apartment "Beneath the Vines" on the ground floor because we like having nice people come to stay with us. 

We live upstairs on the first and second floors of the house.
Mary is fluent in German and English, Colin too, but also speaks French, some Italian, a little Dutch and a smidgin of Spanish.
We like to travel, ride motorcycle, cook, and love nature, music and art. We are both active singers in various local choirs and Colin plays the French horn in several ensembles in the area. Mary is a budding artist.
